Have you ever been in a place or around a person who always gave off dark-vibes? They were surrounded by darkness. Wherever they went, a dark cloud followed them?

Listen to this story I recently read about Corrie ten Boom and a lady in New Zealand:

“How can I bring my husband to the Lord?” a lady asked Corrie. She was a true child of God but she did not yet know that there are dozens of promises in the Bible.

“When I am in the same room with him,” she continued, “it is sometimes as though a cloud of darkness overshadows me.”

“Act God’s love,” Corrie told her. “In Romans 5:5 it is written, ‘The love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.”

Corrie went on to say, “There are two kinds of love – human love and God’s love. Human love fails; God’s love never fails. When you are alone with your husband and feel that his depression touches you, pray this prayer: ‘Thank You, Lord Jesus, that God’s love has been put into my heart through the Holy Spirit who is given to me and thank You, Father, that Your love in me is victorious over this darkness.”

Soak in this verse from the J.B. Phillips translation of the Bible: Love knows no limit to its endurance, no end to its trust, no fading of its hope; it can outlast anything. It is, in fact, the one thing that still stands when all else has fallen” (1Cor 13:7).
