Last night as I was reading, a couple of Oswald Chamber’s quotes stood out to me and grabbed my attention in a deep way….my mind and heart wanted to soak-in them a little longer. Here’s one:

It is only through abandonment of yourself and your circumstances that you will recognize Him (God). You will only recognize His voice more clearly through recklessness —  being willing to risk your all.

Those were the last 2 lines of O. Chamber’s devotional for June 18th….which, by the way, is the anniversary date of our wreck in 2002 that completely changed my life. That was definitely a day of “recklessness,” in more ways than one, when God began a journey in my life that I could have never imagined in my wildest dreams!

And, WOW, listen to this…  Here are the last 2 lines of last night’s devotional (June 19th):

The secret of a disciple’s life is devotion to Jesus Christ, and the characteristic of that life is its seeming insignificance and its meekness. Yet it is like a grain of wheat that “falls to the ground and dies” — it will spring up and change the entire landscape (John 12:24).

Keeping our eyes on Him is what it’s all about! We never know what’s around the corner…
