What Are You Looking At?

C’mon, ride the Adventure with me, and see what God says to you!

Please read these two verses:

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him, endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God” (Heb 12:1,2; NIV).

Good on ya!

Now, have a go and read them again. But, this time, don’t read every word.

Hold-on, I can hear your mind, “What? What are talking about Patti, “don’t read every word?”

No worries, hang with me…here is an incredible truth God hit me between the eyes with, today –

Therefore, since we are surrounded… Let us fix our eyes on Jesus.

In this day and age, all kinds of stuff is vying for our attention and trying to get us off-track, whether it’s somebody we look up to, think about, or maybe haven’t even met yet (except on TV or the computer).

Maybe you’re surrounded by bill collectors, family issues, stuff at school, etc… I don’t what it is, but I do know this. Jesus is with you in the midst of whatever, or whoever, it is.

He won’t walk out on you; He won’t throw in the towel; He won’t manipulate you; He won’t double-talk you…. In other words, like it says in Heb 13:5, “Never will He leave you; never will He forsake you.”

Take Him at His Word and don’t give up. He will come through for you!…keep trusting Him!
