Do not go where the path may lead; go instead where there is no path and leave a trail

   ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Hmmm….I looked up the word “courage” in my handy-dandy Webster’s (New World Dictionary, 1983) and it read: “a willingness to face and deal with danger, trouble, or pain; fearlessness; bravery; valor.”

‘Sounds pretty fitting for this time of year!

Graduates have been on my mind lately. I’ve heard seniors talking about the colleges they’ll be attending, the recognition and awards their schools are giving them…hearing sweet “ah’s” as they open cool frames full of pictures that’ll cause them to remember each other and the good times they’ve had together. Memories, laughter, tears, jokes  …

Graduation/Commencement, whatever you want to call it, is on the horizon of many a person’s life right now. Another step is about to be taken that will take you along a path you’ve never been.

(Mmmm…and that’s life –  what a journey!)

As you breathe your next breath, may you lean into life – your dream, your vision, your passion, your major – and walk toward whatever God has etched onto your heart.

All our dreams can come true…if we have the courage to pursue them.
