Are You Watching?
Put this verse into Living Color and keep alert - Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh (Matt 25:13, KJV).

Be ready to face the Lord Jesus at any and every turn…
Here are some thoughts from Oswald Chambers: Jesus rarely comes where we expect Him; He appears where we least expect Him, and always in the most illogical situations…This sense of expectation will give our life the attitude of childlike wonder.
He goes on to say, If we are going to be ready for Jesus Christ, we have to stop being religious…we must be spiritually real. You should trust no one, and even ignore the finest saint on earth if he blocks your sight of Jesus Christ.
Be ready and watching!
In her book, Plenty for Everyone, Corrie ten Boom writes, Denying ourselves, taking up our crosses, and following Jesus is not like jumping from an aeroplane towards earth with parachutes on our backs. It means being safe in the hands of Jesus, yoke-fellows with Him; His joy in us, and our joy fulfilled. Paratroopers for Jesus must trust Him. Our commission is to bring the Gospel of plenty to the whole world; for which Jesus has promised us His Holy Spirit and His power to do the work (Acts 1:8).
She goes on to say, We are really strong when we are weak; weak when we are strong. A branch cannot bring forth fruit of itself, but, however strong or weak it may be, it will bring forth much fruit if it is connected to the Vine. When it is connected, the branch is given the nature of the Vine.
Stay with God!

Two verses are on my mind this morning that both have the word “cast” in them: 1) 1 Peter 5:7 - Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you and 2) Hebrews 10:35 - Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.
And with all of this and the tough times you and I are living through, sing this hymn with me…it’s the firdt verse of “What a Friend We Have in Jesus” - What a friend we have in Jesus. All our sins and griefs to bear! What a privilege to carry Everything to God in prayer! O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear; All because we do not carry Everything to God in prayer.
He will never leave you!

Here’s a thought for you … soak in this …
A friend wrote me this email in response to my Journal blog for this week (03/08): In keeping with your journal blog today, here’s a word from Robert Leighton,
Cast thy burdens upon the Lord,–hand it over, heave it upon Him,–and He shall sustain thee; shall bear both, if thou trust Him with both, both thee and thy burden: He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
Heave it all upon Him; He’ll take care of you!
What gives you strength? What makes you feel strong, especially when you’re dealing with tough times?
Nehemiah, seeing and hearing the people of Israel weep and mourn as Ezra read the Law of Moses, proclaimed to them, This day is sacred to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength (Neh 8:10, NIV).
Listen to this devotional in Jesus Calling, for March 7th: LET ME HELP YOU through this day. The challenges you face are far too great for you to handle alone. You are keenly aware of your helplessness in the scheme of events you face. This awareness opens up a choice: to doggedly go it alone or to walk with Me in humble steps of dependence. Actually, this choice is continually before you, but difficulties highlight the decision-making process. So, consider it all joy whenever you are enveloped in various trials. These are gifts from Me, reminding you to rely on Me alone.
James 1:2-3 (AMP).
