Our heart is affected by so much, whether it’s emotionally, physically, or spiritually. The heart plays a major role in our lives.
Think about this part of God’s Whole Armor: the breastplate of righteousness.
The breastplate of righteousness covers our vital organs, among them the heart. Take a Calgon Moment in this question and see what God says to you: What grips your heart today?
Soak in the Scripture again - Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take up the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints (Eph 6:10-18, NIV).
Follow God!

Did you put on your helmet of salvation this morning?
Hmmm, I wondering…what’s filling your head today? The helmet of salvation covers your mind, head, brain, thoughts, understanding, perspective, etc.  So, what about you - what fills your head?
The Apostle Paul said, Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.

When a problem finds its way into your life, how do you deal with it? What do you do? Here’s something to think about from Sarah Young’s book, Jesus Calling.
Hear the Lord Jesus speaking this to you:
Approach problems with a light touch. When your mind moves toward a problem area, you tend to focus on that situation so intensely that you lose sight of Me. You put yourself against the difficulty as if you had to conquer it immediately. Your mind gears up for battle, and your body becomes tense and anxious. Unless you achieve total victory, you feel defeated.
There is a better way. When a problem starts to overshadow your thoughts, bring this matter to Me. Talk with Me about it and look at it in the Light of My Presence. This puts some much-needed space between you and your concern, enabling you to see from My perspective. You will be surprised at the results. Sometimes you may even laugh at yourself for being so serious about something so insignificant.
You will always face trouble in this life. But more importantly, you will always have Me with you, helping you to handle whatever you encounter. Approach problems with a light touch by viewing them in My revealing Light (Psalm 89:15; John 16:33).

What do you find yourself thinking about? How much of an impact do your thoughts have on your life and what you do?
Listen to this from Todays’ Character Calendar:
Your thought life can be established in Christ. The Bible states that every thought should be brought into subjection to Jesus.
Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established (Proverbs 16:3).

What is it like for you to be different, to not always fit into the norm’ of what’s happening around you?
Here’s a thought (featured on a desk calendar) about the character of AUTHENTICITY:
Many are afraid of individuality, of being different. God did not create any two of us alike. The truth is that you are a truly unique being confronting the rest of the world in a specific fashion. Seek out your deepest convictions, stand by them and live by them.
But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath; but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation (James 5:12).
