Go ahead! Pour out your heart to God; don’t hold it in!  It’s so easy to suppress things and stuff them away in our “luggage”…but stop, drop your heart’s jaw, and let it all out to God!
He’s a big God…He won’t walk away from you; you won’t hurt His feelings…He already knows your heart; you can’t surprise Him!
Here’s a verse for you to take a Calgon Moment in: Trust in Him (God) at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to Him, for God is our refuge (Psalm 62:8, NIV).
So trust Him absolutely, people; lay your lives on the line for Him. God is a safe place to be (Psalm 62:8, The Message).
Grace be with you.

Things of life can be so demanding…screaming at us to give it more time and more attention. Often, we long to escape and take a “time-out”… get our minds together, reset our focus on the stuff that matters…
I encourage you to take a Calgon Moment and soak in the Truth of God’s word … it’ll meet you where you are: If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there Your hand will guide me, Your right hand will hold me fast (Psalm 139:9, NIV).
Grace to you,
~PattiÂ

Go back in time with me to the days when you were a kid.
Remember the song about the wise man built his house upon a rock….? Well, start singing it to yourself as you read this week’s blog….hmmm….
What kind of words do you live and speak? Are they merely polite words, or are they the kind of words that you can build your life on?
Read Luke 6:43-49 and soak-in what God lays on you: You don’t get wormy apples off a healthy tree, nor good apples off a diseased tree. The health of the apple tells the health of the tree. You must begin with your own life-giving lives. It’s who you are, not what you say and do, that counts. Your true being brims over into true words and deeds.
Why are you so polite with me, always saying, ‘Yes, sir,’ and ‘That’s right, sir,’ but never doing a thing I tell you? These words I speak to you are not mere additions to your life, homeowner improvements to your standard of living. They are foundation words, words to build a life on.
If you work the words into your life, you are like a smart carpenter who dug deep and laid the foundation of his house on bedrock. When the river burst its banks and crashed against the house, nothing could shake it; it was built to last. But if you just use my words in Bible study and don’t work them into your life, you are like a dumb carpenter who built a house but skipped the foundation. When the swollen river came crashing in, it collapsed like a house of cards. It was a total loss (Lk 6:43-49, The Message).

This morning I was visiting two, dear people in the hospital. Both of them had great attitudes, told stories and led the Laughter Band!
When I left their rooms, my heart was smiling and I was thanking God for loving on my heart through them!
Soak in the life-giving truth of these 3 verses: You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven (Matthew 5:14-16; NIV).
