Get ready to step into my brain and see how it works….
Recently while I was on a plane traveling from one city to another, some of its various features and sections stood out to me and captured my attention.
So, for each of the next 10 Monday’s (including today), I’m going to feature one of the questions I thought about, regarding an airplane and life and how they relate to each other. (By the way, there’s no correct answer…simply answer them as they relate to you.)
Happy Thinking!Â
Here’s the first one:
  1) What is in the Overhead Compartment of your life?

I’m in the midst of getting packed and ready to fly off to GMA Week in Nashville…as I was checking things online, I was having to type in my password in order to get certain information. So, hmmmmm…
I was just thinking…I wonder what it would be like if we had to type in our password in order to get God’s attention?
Whadda ya think about that? Hmmm…..
See ya in Nashville if you’re gonna be there!

This afternoon, Brennan Mannings book, Ruthless Trust, was on my mind…so, I took it out and began reading it. Take a Calgon Moment in these thoughts and please pay attention to what God points out to you.
In the first chapter Manning wrote, Unwavering trust is a rare and precious thing because it often demands a degree of courage that borders on the heroic.
Then, a few paragraphs later he penned, It requires heroic courage to trust in the love of God no matter what happens to us.
Okay…so what do you say about trust?
Let me be simple and take you deep: 1) Why do you trust God when you do? And 2) Why do you not trust God when you don’t? (Ya with me? ‘Hope so!)
There you have it…2 Calgon Moment questions just for you!
Happy “Calgonizing,”Â

Like clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in My hand (Jeremiah 18:6b; NIV).
Sometime the pressing and prodding of The Potter is painful. His shaping us from the clay into the pot He desires us to become is not always comfortable or easy.
That’s where trust takes a deeper, more real meaning to each of us…a place where trust becomes much like an IV-tube that keeps us directly connected to God!
Keep trusting The Potter even when it makes no sense to you.
Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit (Jeremiah 17:7,8; NIV).
God’s tender mercy to you,
~Patti

The other night, after a church service, people came up to where I was and began talking with me. I did a lot of listening and connecting with different people of different ages. One of the young ladies in the midst of the group made a personal commemt to me about music. She wanted me to know that she had been unusually stirred by the music that evening. God had strummed the chords of her heart.
How about you…when have you been aware of God’s music in your heart? God is near you always and longs to be intimately involved in your life.
In Zephaniah 3:17, we are reminded, The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love; He will rejoice over you with singing.
Listen to the music….
